Garment value chains are one of the biggest employers worldwide, with 150 million people’s lives touched by the global apparel industry. 75% of global garment workers are women*. The majority of  women working in the fashion and textile industries are poorly paid and unskilled.

Funded by the European Union and in collaboration with The Do, the UN Women Industry Disruptor is an acceleration program in India launched in May 2020. It provides female entrepreneurs and female-led enterprises active in the sustainable fashion and lifestyle industries with access to mentorship, investors, and the opportunity to grow ideas and increase impact through scaling their ventures.
